Dispatches from the Empire

about

The philosopher is he who aspires to be at home everywhere.
— Novalis

I have a deep and profound love of my country, these United States. I love small towns, meeting people in bars and diners, talking with strangers. Aside from being in the mountains with my dog, nothing fills me with joie de vivre quite like exploring a new landscape and spending time with the people that live there.

I come here to create something I find myself desperately hungry for on the internet: some sense. I don’t need you to agree with me. I don’t need you to “like and subscribe” or comment or repost or share. I’m not here for any of that.

I just want us both to think critically about this world we live in, however uncomfortable it might feel.
